Welcome to my website!

I'm Pam!

Presently, I am an Erasmus Mundus scholar of the Copernicus Digital Earth specializing in Geocommunication and Geovisualization. I served as the Storytelling Lead for Youth Strike 4 Climate Philippines and previously worked with the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines under the Office of the President. Recently, I have co-founded Sponge City for SEA and Project KARTAng Isip, the latter climate art project exhibited in Queens, New York.

Projects

Sponge City for SEA

Funded by the East-West Center and executed in collaboration with Women In Architecture & Engineering (WAE) and YSEALI AFP Alumni, this challenge invites aspiring urbanists, architects, and planners to mitigate flooding through innovative urban design.

Sa Mata ng Bagyo

Pitched at the Film Development Council of the Philippines Screenwriting Workshop. As the storms in her life grow stronger and take more from the village she calls home, a girl blessed by the god of thunder is forced to confront those who may be responsible—starting with her father, who works at a plastic factory.

The journey up to this point...

My Story

Life in Leyte

Pamela, born in Palo, Leyte studied in Alangalang 1 Central School where she was known for always “bringing home the bacon” in English, Science, and Math competitions. She went on to mark a major milestone as its first Philippine Science High School passer in a decade—an achievement earned just before Super Typhoon Haiyan struck.

Pisay Scholar

Pamela studied as a Pisay scholar, where she won multiple school press conferences and served as the Feature Editor of The Science Net. Under the Physics Track, she deepened her curiosity about the planet. She later passed the entrance exams for the Big Four universities, graduating with distinction and carrying forward the scientific and creative rigor she honed in Pisay.

Road to being a ROCKstar

Pamela later pursued Geology at the University of the Philippines Diliman, graduating Cum Laude. She was awarded the Gawad Tsanselor sa Natatanging Mag-aaral—the highest and most prestigious distinction given to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, strong leadership, and a steadfast commitment to honor, excellence, and public service.

Carrying the Climate in Her Core

She developed a love for combatting climate change—teaching its impacts to communities and actively volunteering with organizations such as Habi PH and Youth Strike 4 Climate Philippines. She later launched her own initiative, “Sponge City for SEA,” further advancing her commitment to climate resilience in Southeast Asia.
