Hi There!

I'm Pamela

Climatebase & YSEALI Fall '24 Fellow | Climate Creative | Geologist championing science for the people | Energy Justice & Enterpreneurship Researcher

I've been fortunate to earn recognition in both local and international competitions, like the National Schools Press Conference and the Magna Charta Observatory essay contest. Winning the Normal Awards in 2021 allowed me to publish a children’s storybook, which was a truly rewarding experience. I’m also grateful to have contributed to academic research, with three SCOPUS-indexed publications in entrepreneurship and education. Writing has given me a meaningful way to connect, share, and hopefully make a small positive impact.

About Me

My Story

A Geologist, Researcher, Volunteer, and Writer

I am Pamela Eyre Victoria Lira, a Licensed Professional Geologist, researcher, volunteer, and writer. I graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines – Diliman, where I had the honor of receiving the Gawad Tsanselor sa Natatanging Mag-aaral (Chancellor’s Award). This award, the most prestigious given by the university, recognizes students who not only excel academically but also show strong leadership, uphold honor, and dedicate themselves to serving others.

For three years, I was the youngest special youth panelist, speaker, and paper presenter at three United Nations – International Atomic Energy Agency conferences, where I discussed the role of youth in the clean energy transition in developing countries.

Versatile Author with Global Writing Honors

Over my ten years of writing, I’ve earned several awards in both international and local competitions. In the Philippines, I was recognized at the National Schools Press Conference (2018) and National Media Conference (2019), and in Europe, I received awards in the Magna Charta Observatory (2023) and International Atomic Energy Agency (2021-2022) essay competitions. In 2021, I won the Normal Awards, which led to the publication of my children’s storybook. I'm also the author of three SCOPUS-indexed journals in entrepreneurship and education, showcasing my versatility as a writer.
